The Traveler

So I'm back.

It's been over two years since my last post. My goal was to stop social media posting for three years. December would be the three-year mark, but I decided the time is now. For many reasons, August is a significant month for me, and I knew today was the day. I will go into it more later, but I stopped posting because I wanted to find myself as a photographer. When I started photography in 2019, I didn't know what I was doing. I was all over the place, copying what others were doing and trying to chase likes. These last couple of years, I learned much about myself and what I enjoy shooting the most. I still have much to learn and experiment with, but I enjoy the process much more and understand my passion.

"The Traveler" is a photo I took in 2021. I had been struggling with photography and finding inspiration. I left the house early and drove a couple of hours to reach this destination. As I pulled up to the location, the sun lit the road beautifully. I remember the feeling of seeing the light beams coming through the trees. As I parked my truck off the roadside, I stepped out at the perfect time to take this photo. This was one of the most beautiful days I have ever had hiking and photographing nature.
